Free Wheelchair Mission:

Who is Free Wheelchair Mission? Founded in 2001, Free Wheelchair Mission is an international nonprofit organization dedicated to providing wheelchairs for the impoverished disabled in developing nations.

What do they do? Provide free wheelchairs to physically disabled poor in developing countries.

Why is this important to MBK? It’s difficult to qualify why anybody wants to help any particular charity. I’ll give it a shot, though. Mobility is something I take for granted most of the time. When I think of children of war, my heart breaks. Many have suffered unspeakable injuries. Added to the fact they don’t have a support system in place to help them get access to basic items. As much as we would like to help, we’re limited. We can’t “save the world”, so-to-speak. But we can buy wheelchairs!

These Wheelchairs will go a long way to help kids and grown-ups alike get some much needed mobility. These aren’t a typical western-society wheelchair, either. These suckers are built for rough terain! They have mountain-bike tires as the main supporting wheels. The castors, (the front wheels), a little larger than typical wheelchair castors. The steel frame is inexpensive but sturdy enough to handle the weight of the rider and the pounding of tough roads.

Basically, MBK Office just wants to bring a little more awareness that this charity is out there; and, for whatever it’s worth, we support it.
